Hi, I’m Elizabeth, but feel free to call me Liz. I’ll be your hairstylist during your appointment.

Hair has always been deeply personal to me. During my years as a model, I was often required to wear my hair short. In many ways, that period taught me to embrace my natural features and love myself more confidently. But it also opened my eyes to how little knowledge and understanding there was surrounding Black hair.

As I grew older, I realised my hair had not always been kept short because it best suited me. Often, it was simply the most convenient option for the people working with me, an easy way to avoid having to understand or properly care for my hair.

I eventually chose a different path, returned to school and completed my legal studies. Still, my love for hair never left me. With the encouragement of the people around me, I decided to follow the dream I had carried for years and create a salon of my own.

My dedication to helping others understand, care for and grow their hair led me to study natural hair more deeply. Professional hairdressing training strengthened the knowledge I had already built through years of personal experience and independent learning. Remílekún is where I now bring all of that together.

I created Remílekún Hair Studio to offer the knowledge, care and attention I once saw missing. My goal is to help people across different hair types maintain healthy hair, retain length and still wear their hair exactly the way they love.
